ok so i bought arch enemy's newest cd; wages of sin. and singer angela gossow rules (and she's hot too), don't get me wrong, but i don't think that she is as cool as johan liives was. what do you think?

Yeah, the new one's good. I prefer Angela over Johan for two reasons:
1. She's a better overall singer, has a better range, and has more anger.
2. She's a WOMAN IN A DEATH METAL BAND! Yeah, she's fucking hot too.

I read in an interview a while ago that Angela doesn't have a good clean voice but she was thinking of working on that. So I think its a little early in her career to do clean vocals.

A friend of mine told me that she can actually sing like the chick from Nightwish aswell, but then again, I think it was the same one who said Hammerfall didn' do any coversongs..shows how much some of my friends know about metal, lol.
Anyways, when it comes to who's better, I think Johan Liiva takes the cake. All I've heard from them are 'Wages Of Sin', both CD's and a few seperate MP3's. (Let The Killing Begin, Sinister Mephisto, Bury Me An Angel). Don't get me wrong, I like how they sound right now, with Angela, but their old sound was better imho. They sound a bit less brutal now.. |
