dunlop slide

i bought a metal dunlop slide cause when pros. use them they sound well pro lol anyways i suck at it can anyone teach me a trick or two or a riff with the slide? thx

try doing vibratos with 'em...it feels kinda weird at first but youll get used to it (im only guessing, ive only played with one for about 10 mins)

try the slide solo from Metallica's "Ain't My Bitch", it's pretty cool
i gotta warn you though.....it's off Load......*gasp*

slide past the fretboard (22nd fret or 24th fret, whatever), and you'll get some high-pitched slidey type sounds.

tune to Drop D ( *another gasp* ) and slide the power chord up from the first fret.

and screw around with other tunings, blues slide players and others do that often.

you may not like lynyrd skynyrd but the first solo(i think) in "freebird" has some of the most recognisable sliding in it

lol lynyrd skynyrd the sweet home alabama dude. yeah that is a pretty sweet sliding though. when i was younger i was all into the hippy shit lol
