ok, your in standard E i'm assuming.
if you have a tuner, tune the low E to D# to make it 1/2 step lower...then do the same with all the strings. Or, if you don't have a tuner, place your finger on the 4th fret of the B string and tune your high E to that. Then tune the rest to that string. To go down 1 step, place your finger on the 3rd fret of the B string and tune the high E to that note. 1 1/2 steps, 2nd fret B, tune to that note.
Drop D is only the low E tuned down 1 step. So tune it down til the 7th fret on the low E sounds like the A string.
