It is the same electronically as the explorer body style that every one else had me look at.

The bridge sucks, the pickups suck...its just real cheap quality stuff..like the bolt on neck. Don't get me wrong though, Kramer guitars can be made pretty brutal. But not that one. I'd save up for a neck-thru NJ series Warlock. Even if you don't like the shape, its still one of the best guitars you can get for the bucks. That or an Ibanez RG model guitar. Those, like the Warlock, come with Floyd Rose bridges and decent pickups.

Kramer was a well respected guitar company in the 80's and the even gave gibson a run for there money. then they went outta buiness. I guess the 80'd looks died in the 90's  But now gibson owns them lol. There quad rail pickups r pretty dman nice for stock pickups. I have one of there explorer bodys with the quad rail pickups, i cna get any sound from a single coil to a kickass bassy humbucker. And i got a jackson neck on it  But that guitar does look like pure shit, and the pickups r extremly clsoe together, y even have 2 if there side by side??

the pickups are so close together because its a middle pickup, and a bridge pickup. Like on LP customs, they have 3 pickups. This is just like that, minus the 3rd neck pickup.

Wow the first one is extremly cheap for a neck thru. and it ahs the d-tuna!! it dosent look like that trsm recesseced though. But kramer does make body with a rout for the d-tuna so u can use it my still get krazy highs.

the d tune that comes with certain kramers is crap though because it doesnt work with a floating bridge like a floyd unless u fix it down. So i took it off and sold it

go to musicians friend and get a bronze series warlock for way cheaper than the kramer. since you ll have money left over, go get some EMG active pick ups for it. trust me you'll fall in love with it.

EVH originally played Kramer (remember the Frankenstrat?) and Marshalls (the 1987 Plexis)
He played Soldano SLO100s for a while (with Kramers), then switched to exclusively Peaveys, and has been using Peavey exclusively ever since (which does include the Wolfgang guitar... AFAIK, there was no wolfgang with Kramer).
While he does use Peavey now, nearly all of his work (99% of it) was recorded with Kramers and Marshalls. Of course, Kramer's changed as a company since those days too...
