why would you need two effect pedals? All I can think of thats useful is distortion...but thats only if the amp your playing through sucks...

Effects to me can tottaly enhance the guitar. Distortion, Delay, Chors, Flanger, Phaser, Pich Shifter, Detuner, Reverb, ect. If you want effects, I would save up for a good effects board. Im moving this to gear though.

Yes they can...well, I only like reverb and delay but thats me. Too much of it can make the playing sound too muddy though. I like guitar for its 6 strings/24 frets, not what cool sounds you can add to it. All my opinion though.
