What is the best way to hold the pick when doing super fast and clean thrashing.Is the pick held on a angle or straight,also what is the best gauge of string for playing unrelenting Thrash Metal.

Hold the pick whatever feels comfortable. Record yourself playing at and angle, and then straight. Play back and see which one sounds faster. Thrash usually tunning in E - D i would recomend anywhere from 9 - 11s. Preferably 11s.

pretty sure the slayer guys use 9s. Maybe 10 at the most, but i'm pretty positive its not 11s. But whatevers best for you.

go light with the strings, i use 9's for Eb and 10's for C#, the pick hold any way thats comfortable, just a matter of getting enough experience. good luck

King uses 9's im pretty sure Hanneman uses 10s though.
