Help with guitar techniques

What is a Staccato and Thrill? I think I know, but I'm not sure

stacatto is when you play each note individually...err...hard to explain...instead of playing 5-7-8 in a "continuous" way, youd do 5[]7[]8[] (the [] being a quick pause...so basically all notes are brief and separated)

and thrill is just repeatedly hammering/pulloff'ing two notes so a full trill on 15 would be 15h16p15h16p15 ETC(has to be done quickly)

a trill is continuous hammering on & pull off..............like 5h7p5h7p5h7p5........dave murray style

staccato is the opposite of a legato........in the sense that a legato is smooth while a staccato is not smooth with short breaks between two notes
