Liquid Tension Experiment
For those of u who have heard them, what did you think? I have both albums, and I think they sizzle. Acid Rain is my favorite song, but they have so many good ones it's hard to choose.

LTE fucking owns. The melody from Acid Rain is awesome, I wish they'd gone back to it more often throughout the song. Others that are good are Paradigm Shift, Kindred Spirits, When the Water Breaks (frickin awesome), and of course, the infamous 3 Minute Warning...
One of the best bands ever put together. I'm hopin they'll get back to produce LTE 3, but that's not too likely.

Ultra-creative prog/jam rock type stuff. Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Jordan Rudess (formerly solo, joined DT after LTE 1), and Tony Levin (damned near everyone: Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Bozzio Levin Stevens, and I think Alice Cooper). Put together to create some of the craziest, most advanced stuff on the planet. And they dont' just wank (well, except 3 minute warning, which is self-confessed wankage). A lot of their music is built on melody. I'd highly recommend them.

Mike Portnoy mentioned a surprise cd at the end of the year and I have a few speculations. It's either gonna be a dream theater live album, or (what im hoping for) a liquid tension III. That would be sweet.

Great band, I also have both albums, some amazing talent shown throughout both, I heard Paradigm Shift and went and bought both cds the next day I was that impressed

I just downloaded a couple songs after i saw this thread.
I'll admit the music is very talented....but it's not really my style so i can't praise it as much as some others. I'm also not a very big fan of bands incorporating keyboards into metal, i think it's just as bad as having a woman singing.....so they've lost lots of points there with me too.
But it's talented!
