I might be getting a Washburn Dime in the next few days off ebay (I hope), but my question is this how good is it? I know the greatest metal guitar player that ever lived uses it, but is it better than ohhh I dont know a Gibson Gothic Explorer? And rate the Dime from 1-10 (10 highest).

I played one, I'de say it deserved an 8

but I don't know what kinda model it was, but the playability is great, and if you're into the looks, it rocks!

the only thing you'll need is a bunch of descent pickups, maybe the dimebuckers from seymour duncan or some other kickass pickups, the only thing that wasn't up to standards where the pickups...

why in the hell would you buy a guitar when you dont even know how good it is!? sure dimbag does use it but that doesnt meen you will like it. anyway i hav played em and i like it the one i played a thin neck which i liked good sound ect

Only thing I remember from when I last played a Dime guitar is that it was heavy (as in lots of weight).

the weight is ok, if you're used to les paul's, but the body is pretty friggin' huge.

There is a reason I asked you guys about the Dime, that is here at my local music store they only have fenders, gibsons, eppiphone's (I hope I got the name right), and B.C. Rich's so if I want to play the fucking thing I have to order it in for $40.

i'd rather pay 40 bucks to order it in, test it, and find out if you like it or not, instead of spending how ever much you paid on ebay. Considering the chance that you may not like it.
