Riffs and licks are both small segments of a song.
Riff = basically, it's one measure of a song which is repeated 4 or however many times.
Lick = smaller segment, not as repeated as a riff. sometimes they're just one-time deals
Moose = Freezer666 was being silly in the "evil song" thread, and added that. it has nothing to do with music.
