Delay Pedal Songs?
Not a whole lot of metal songs seem to use a delay, but since I can't return it for full price, I mindswell use it. Anyone know anysongs that use one? All I can think of is Floods by Pantera

fuck what everyone else is doing. Do your own thing, write your own songs using delay. Alot of metal guitar players will use delay on their solos to get a cool effect.

yeah, don't limit yourself to metal, listen to other genres too.
check out these guys songs, listen and learn their techniques, and apply it to metal (if you want):
Steve Vai: The Boy From Seattle ( he harmonizes with his echos)
Steve Vai: the Ultra zone (he adds it on his solos for effect)
Joe Satriani: Up In the Sky
Joe Satriani: Oriental Melody
Dream Theater: Lifting Shadows Off a Dream
they use the effect to enhance their riffs
Pantera: The Great Southern Trendkill, the end part of the solo
Dream Theater: Surrounded
They use it to do that "running" type effect.
and screw around with your volume knob (or pedal if you have one), that creates a nice effect with delay too, that Steve Vai does.

your delay prolly has a swell feature, that always kicks ass. Which is just basically doing what atif said and fucking with the volume. But turn it to the swell feature, and hit a note. It will come in, but you don't hear it being plucked, I've recorded a whole song of myself just fucking with the swell feature.
