Ive got a zoom 707 and ive been crankin the distortion right up with a bit of pitch on and have gettin a decent sound out of it, but i was wonderin whats the best pedal for just metal effects especially death, ive tried the boss metal zone but i was after a heavier sound, any suggestions?

yeah, the boss GT-6, it has some really good distortion effects, but ehm, for single pedals the Boss MT2 is about as heavy as they get I guess (in the boss range that is)

maybe you can try a DOD

digitech metal master is pretty good

the DOD Death metal is the best cheap pedal to use to get that raw death/black metal sound but you can t create your own sound aswell on that as you can with the boss metal zone. But i'd suggest to get the dod because it has shit loads more distortion than the boss
