Need advice on a peavey Studiopro 112

i went to look around for used amps yesterday, couldnt find much except those 2 amps(same model, just diff year), the model is "Studiopro 112" (peavey), they were in my price range(around 400$ canadian, thats what, 300$US?)
didnt have much time left to try them though, but it wasnt too bad from what i saw, but while i wait till i have another ride to go there, id like to know if any of you have comments on the amp(regarding price, reliability etc)

or if you guys have suggestions as to what else i could get...
found some nice ones on musiciansfriend but the whores only ship Rogue to canada...bleh

thanks in advance for the advice (i checked reviews for that amp but most of those werent made by metal players so....)

Hi

I have a Peavey 65W studio pro 112.

I have it for about 14 months now
I can't complain about it if you're talking about distortion and metalsound.

Nice rough sound if you want to,
just the clean part is a little bad if you put your amp full power...

Buy it it's nice for practicing.

hmm the clean? a bit worrying then, isnt clean used for pedals? does it influence the sound if i, say, stick a dod on it or a metalzone whatever(i dont know pedals much, nor do i have any, but i will soon enough)

btw does it get "squealy" when you go on higher frets? my marshall 10w(haha:P gives a reaaaaaaalllyyyy shitty sound when i go to fret 15+...thought it might be my pickups but when i briefly tried other amps it didnt seem to give me that annoying squeal

Err dunno

I have a GT6 between guitar and amp...
It's not like this amp is different from many others so I guess it works properly

No really it's a good amp, and I haven't really looked after it, but if you twist them knobs in a proper way, I'm sure you can make the clean part sound great too

btw Tthe price-reliability-amp power is fine so don't worry bout that
Good luck with it

370 euro is allmost the same as 370 USD, but you're probably talking canadian dollars....

I suggest going for a real pedal, instead of a lame footswitch

well, lets do some maths
i have 425$CA....the amp is 350$CA, add taxes that goes up to around what, 380?...thats leaves aherm 45$CA, doubt i can get a pedal with that...guess ill just wait for the footswitch, its not super important for now anyways
