singing
gah i suck, i write lyrics along with my guitar, and i really wana sing them , i record and my voice is basically just blah... its really deep and monotone. Anyone give me some singing tips or am i just screwed?

well heres a tip given by our vocalist......if youre growling.........do it from the bottom of your diaphragm.......and take air inside your mouth while starting
for clean vocals..........just sing in your natural voice........i mean dont do false singing

well see for my clean, my voice isnt harsh sounding, but it sounds almsot like im talking sometimes, in a deep voice. Best way to sum it up is i cant find vocal melodies, i can sing along with shit, but i cant create melodies with my voice.

dude wot kind of music do you play? i mean theres no use trying to do stratovarius with slayer......if you get what i mean.....
by vocal melody....if you mean the kick or the punch in your singing then it all depends on your vocal delivery & not your voice...perfect example - tom araya.....and if you mean melody as in melodic singing then you have to strike the right notes with the right chords & practise & practise
