Guitar amp for a singer?

Hi y'all

So we found a singer for our band but he's still a beginner (equipment) but his screams are very

Anyway, I heard that singing amp and stuff costs pretty much, but I don't know much about it.

What if the guy just buys like an 100 w guitar amp and a microphone?
You can hear him together with other instruments and it doesn't cost "that" much...

Anyone an idea on this?

yeah, it'll probably sound like shit.

singing equipment might be expensive but some sets start at around 400 euro. plus a guitar amp won't spread the sound as good as two standing speakers. the frequencies are different too. using a stereo amp with some good speakers and a mic might even work better.
