It's an explorer style, just what I want, and the pickups (I know you've never heard of them) apparently sound quite good and heavy. Even guitarworld gave them a great rating. Plus its so much cheaper than every other metal style guitar. Anyway, just wanted some opinions, comments, or suggestions. If anything, I'll just replace the pickups.

That looks like its gonna kick some ass. It's great for the price and hardware. The only problem is the explorer shape which i find uncomfortable. But thats just me. Apart from that it looks a good buy.

Ya pay for what you get. Kramers aren't great, but then again, you're talking about $230... I'd say go for it.

I suggest that you get the Kramer Vanguard FR440S/D http://www.musicyo.com/product_specs.asp?pf_id=014
because i've played on both, the guitar that you want and this guitar. And this is way better for only an extra $50 or somet. I was going to get a Jackson flying v but this kramer has miles better specs and cheaper price.
