Strapping Young Lad
What do you think of this band. I picked up thier latest release about a month ago just because it was eye catching, and now I can't put it down.
I just saw them in concert with meshuggah and opeth and they kicked ass. They are moving up on my list of favorite bands.
What are your thoughts about this band?

yeah gene hoglan (ex-death, dark angel, testament, old mans child blah blah blah) is in this band. i saw them at new england metalfest last weekend and they're really good. they're only band ive seen thats funny and still has decent songs.
gene hoglan is hilarious though. he gets up and just starts going " fuck you motherfucking motherfucks" and just waves his middle fingers in the air. he kept throwing his sticks up and spinning them during the songs. it was ridiculous. and then after the show was over, my friend phil was leaving the venue and he saw gene, slapped his ass and ran down the street

Um yeah they came here to switzerland as well.. But of course i didnt even bother to go to their concert ... lately i only go to cult underground black metal concerts , the rest is all crappy thrash/death gigs. Fuck.

Amazing album from a musical genious imo. When Devin said they would never play together again I was really dissapointed but they released SYL and its great!! Full on non stop metal

I dig SYL, their new album is kick ass, but I like City more. It's fuckin Heavy as A Heavy Thing. Ha Ha Ha, Anubis made a joke. Ha ha hmm.
