Is "In Their Darkness Shrines" their most brutal album?
Is heard 2 tracks from Amongst The Catacombs Of Nephren Ka
and they were great. But I'm trying to look for the most brutal
Nile cd.
I saw the new cd at Tower Records and the album cover
looks so cool with that snake warping around the cross.

Amongst the catacombs.. and in their darkened shrines are both very fuckin brutal.. those are the two cds i have..

'in the beginning' is where nile are experimenting with their sound i think cus some of it is very nile and then some of it is sepultura sort of sound, so is catacombs to a certaion extent, an experiment. But 'black seeds' and 'darkened shrines' is where niles true GENIOUS sound comes in, CD burner man, i'm aiming this comment at u cus u obviously don't know what yr talking about.....soz i can't remember yr name  Both these albums are pretty heavy but if yr looking for the most brutal i'd go with 'darkened shrines', check out tracks 'sarcophagus' and 'unas slayer of the gods' especially. |

true, sarcophagus is slow, but the song kicks ass! because it has a touch of catacombs about it, thats the good thing about darkened shrines theres a sound from all the other nile releases on it. I would still say it is niles heaviest release, try and dowload the blessed dead. If yr looking for heavier. go and buy plainfield cemetery by deranged  thats brutal. |

i honestly think that shrines is their worst cd, it has some good songs but i was pretty disappointed with it. if you want brutal, definitly go with catacombs. black seeds is great cd as well, but catacombs is their most bruatal.

I agree, I have the newest album.
The new album has alot of dynamics but the guitars didn't really stand out.
Catacombs had nice brutal guitaring.

Listen to it again...Sometimes it takes a while to enjoy the
music...I also don't enjoy listening music in stores becomes
you can still hear the Nsync and stupid pop music being played
from the headphones near where you're listening. Those morons
