No Feedback Please

I no i've already got a post on what kind of distortion pedal to get. But what i want to know is, can you get a good pedal for death metal for under £70 that produces no feedback? because i was playing on the Digitech Metal Master and it seemed to have a sort of horrible fuzz in the background when playing anything. The same goes for a couple of other pedals. Does anyone have any ideas?

It's not in the pedal. Well, some pedals do have better noise reduction than others, but the best thing to do about noise is not to kill it, it is to stop it from being born, so to speak.

Make sure you're using a good cable (good shielding), make sure you don't point your pickups at anything that might cause noise (tvs, printers, whatever), and if you can, get emgs or something, as they give very little of this noise. However, you might not like the sound of emgs, so that might not be a good option.

that, and sometimes the pedal gives his own feedback too, crappy construction, bad soldering, boss pedals have the tendency to have loose in and output jacks (check them your jack connections)

I like the Boss MT-2 metalzone pedal myself, but not everybody likes that pedal, but it's pretty silent and versatile. I dunno what it costs in pounds though.

I play in a DM band and me and the other guitarist both use DOD Grunge pedals, some people don't like them becuase of the plastic stomp but I got mine at a pawn shop for $15 and has yet to break on me for 2 yrs. Doesn't produce any background noise while playing and the feedback rarely happens, when it does it is very gradual and takes about a minute to come in with gain on all the way, price-new=$30...
