need help with loose guitar input jack
every week or so, itll get alittle loose. the input jack on the guitar where u stick the cord. itll be a little hard to get the cord out. and then once i do, ive gotta squeeze my fingers in there to tighten wut looks like a large nut(not a guitar neck nut; u know wut im saying!). if it helps, i have a telecaster(to help u get an idea of wut to input jack is like). is there anything to do to stop this? or do i just keep tightening it up?

I don't know shit about tele's. but eh.
take off the backcover near the input, and just tighten it, there's a sorta ring on the inside of the body, keeping the jack input in its place, tighten that one and you're set. that's how it works on most guitars, but I dunno about tele's...

yeah, i think that ring yur talking bout is the same thing i said was kinda like a big nut. but by wut u said, i guess ill have to just keep tightening. the tele input is just like any other input on the side of the guitar i think. its not a strat style, its just kinda like a hole ont eh side of the guitar. so i think i know wut yur sayin. i just didnt know if there was sumthin i could use besides my fingers cuz it kinda hard. but i'll just have to deal with it.

well, is there a backplate, like a ehm, cover on the back of the guitar?
near the input jack?
take that sucker off and see if there's any 'big nuts' that aren't tightened... or else, just tighten the fucker really good.

Or you *could* glue it into place, but then, if you ever want to remove it, you're gonna have some trouble...

ok this happend to me and i brought it to guitar tech because pickups started acting wierd(they tunred OFF evernow and then lol) DONT SCREW IT IN WITH YOUR HANDS DONT TURN ! DO NOT TURN IT!! why u ask? becuase when u turn it to tighten it u are also winding the wires in a circles and soon they will snap. mine was close to it lol what u do is u look down at the input jack there is a metal case around that holds it in place unscrew the screws take the jack out and un-wind the wire then tighten it really tight with your hands without winding the wire then just screw it back in place mine has worked eversince

I melt the nut and screw together to prevent those frequent
problems from happening over and over.
