ESP for me. I can get the same tone out of them and they're a shit load cheaper. Also, I prefer the shape better.

Jackson.
ESP are good, the american one's but the LTD series aren't that happening. the REAL eps's might be better then USA Jacksons, but I prefer Jacksons anyway, they're more stylish, ESP's are more of a marketing instrument. Jacksons have style.

What about japonese Jacjsons? Do you think they are still better than the LTD or the USA ESP????
....I never played with an ESP. Someone told me that they are better than jacksons and that i should try one.

japonese Jacjsons? what are those? lol.
I dunno, I only played the american series, the LTD's aren't my favorite things, but I don't know about the cheap jacksons.... its probably worth it to save up for an american series jackson.

well i don't know how it is on your country, but in mine a japonese jackson is around 900 EURO i think. An american jackson is around 2500 EURO.
I don't have that much money to spend on a guitar.
I've been told that the japonese make good jacksons. Obviously not as good as the americans but i guess i wouldn't even notice the diference.

I didn't vote, as I have never played an ESP, but I would say Jackson, because they are (as far as I know) more "respectable" among metal-players.

the prices are the same here, sadly enough.
I bet even the cheap jacksons probably play better then the LTD's, the LTD's come with shitty pickups most of the time (EMG-HZ's and duncan designed) and the el'cheapo jackson don't have good pickups either... but if you're looking at other things then electronics and pickups, I'de still settle for a Jackson instead of an LTD, I like the Jackson's looks better and I don't consider LTD's as high quality guitars.
I had my hands on an LTD deluxe model in a guitar store once and the tone pot was loose and the input wasn't fastened descently either. and that wasn't even the cheapest ltd model or anything, for christ sake, it was a new guitar...
Maybe it was just pure co-incidence and I had a badly constructed one or it was played for ages in the store and nobody ever bought it, I dunno, it was a bad first impression for me anyway.
The Jacksons though, I played the american series Dinky and RR models, all where pretty much fucking amazing, but I can't tell you much about the cheap models, but the body and necks are pretty similar, and I guess the quality is better then the LTD's which aren't made in the US either...
Just go out and try out the models you like, because we might have a different taste in sounds and looks then you do, and maybe our impressions are wrong.
Ohyeah, and it doesn't matter which brand is 'cooler' its what you think about the guitar that counts!
now go out there and shred your ass off!!
