Marshall full stack

But... whats wrong with a pedal? You can easy bring it with you. When you play at a friends house, you just need to bring guitar and a tiny pedal on the subway...

Sovtek & Carvin have pretty good distortion, but tube Marrshall's suck without a pedal, but they sound great with one.

Ha ha, Marshalls do not suck without a pedal, they are awesome. If your a beginnigh player you aint gunna be forking out thousands for a half or full stack, I recommend Peavy's range of amps, they don't cost all that much an have awesome tone.

Entombed, Vader, Red harvest and a lot of other bands use nothing but the Marshall Fullstack... But that rig costs 3000$, so I belie it's out of our category

I wish I knew how you get them to sound that way because mine sounds like a big country amp without a pedal. I had a 50 watt combo Marshall that would distort sometimes. And it did sound awsome, but I can't get my 100 watt head to do any thing. Any pointers might help.

Press the overdrive or distortion button

what amp are you using? Right now a friend left his TSL100 in my barn... I fucking love it, I might have to kill him for it though

JCM 900 dual reverb. It's a tube amp & it won't distort even with the lead gain all the way up. It sounds like AC/DC or something. I don't know how people get theirs
to do it but it probaly takes expensive modification. I'd like to herar one that works
correctly someday. It's the same amp Trey Azagthoth uses & he uses a pedal.

i think that amps with distortion sound like boxs of crap in a blender unless you get something decent like a peavey or hughes and kettner warp 7 they sound great

i would definetly stick with pedals though

huh? isn't there a channel switch or anything? lol, our guitarist uses a DSL 100, but that amp sounds fucking awsome without pedals... he does have a gibson with seymour duncans though... tried other guitars on your amp? what are you using and shit?

your amp gets pretty good reviews from what I've read on the internet, harmony central and shit, but I did read some comments about that there isn't enough gain in the amp for serious shredding... so well maybe it does have a shitty distortion... tough luck, get an Boss MT2 metalzone and voila, problem solved.

some amps do have great distortion, like, the Hughes and Kettner Warp 7, its great for downtunings and has a massive amount of gain and its cheapest in its class.... the Peavey XXX, Mesa Triple Rectifier, Hughes and Kettner Triamp, Marshall TSL/DSL/ModeFour.... but yeah, kickass amps are expensive!
