Steve Tucker or Dave Vincent for Morbid Angel?

In your opinion which one was the best vocalist for Morbid Angel?

In my opinion, Steve Tucker had a better growl.
And the album Gateways To Annihilation kicked more ass than
Domination.

I think you are the only one who thinks that!
I also think Vincent is the best death metal vocalist

IMO Gateways is their worst album (still good but i prefer older MA albums....
Altar of madness all the way!!!!!!)

and i think MA didn't get worst or better when they change vincent for tucker
i don't like one more the other.... but i prefer the vincent "era"

Ok, but the question was "who was the better vocalist".

Vincent is better, and always will be, but Tucker was awesome in his own right. Took me a few years to get used to him, and by the time I did he quit. Figures.

it was a conspircy againts you they said "ok as soon as this slayme guy likes me im gonna quite just to fuck with him" but as far as hwo is better hmm not sure ill go listen to an album with one then the other and get back to you

ok the guy on gatways has a deeper growl to me but the guy on alters is also very good so im kinda undecided they both go well with the tunes but in the end i guess id have to go with the guy on alters (not sure who that is im not very good with names and shit)

How can you like Tucker better than Vincent?? That's like prefering cock over pussy....i mean, i know its your opinion and i sorta respect that but what the fucking hell? Vincent owns Tucker...but out of all the death metal vocalists, I'd say Tucker was right behind Vincent.

This is the first time I can say I completely agree with metal=life. Morbid Angel was THE band that opened the death metal door for me years ago, and since hearing Vincent that first time and up until right now I've never heard a better death metal vocalist. Completely original, and undeniably brutal.

I don't think pointing out Vincent's current "Evil D" status is a fair argument in this debate either, for those of you that have and will bring it up. It has nothing to do with either of their talent and creativity with Morbid Angel.

Well, according to Blabbercunt, Tucker's back in the band. Read on:

MORBID ANGEL have reunited with bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker and have been holed up at D.O.W. (Diet Of Worms) studios (web site) in Seffner, Florida since last Friday (May 16) recording their new CD for a September release through Earache Records. The follow-up to 2000's "Gateways To Annihilation", which is being co-produced by the band with longtime front of house mixing engineer Juan "Punchy Gonzalez, will be Tucker's third with the group, who were recently rumored (but never confirmed) to be in talks with previous vocalist David Vincent about returning to the fold.

Tucker originally left the band in early April 2001 due to "personal and family problems" and was temporarily replaced by HATE ETERNAL bassist/vocalist Jared Anderson. Steve eventually announced plans to reform his early death metal band CEREMONY with DISASTRONAUT guitarist Greg Reed and former EMPEROR drummer Trym, but those plans never fully materialized for reasons that are not entirely clear at this time.
