Why Do U All Hate Kerry King Sooo Much!!!!
I always read about how much Kerry King sucks. Sure, he's not the greatest in terms of technicality, but he's still good. I don't se why nobody likes him. Is it cuz he's bald?  j/k. I don't know why, its ur opinion. I like him, he is one of my fav guitarists. I want somebody to please give me a reasonable explanation behind their "anti-Kerry" theory. thanks guys

kerry king is one of the best as far as riffs are concerned......he comes out with such cool riffs........but most of his solos as oue of key...without head or tail...yuck.......thats why i dont like him...imho

ive never read anything why people dont like him besides wat soul just wrote i like him as a guitarist but im not that big of a slayer fan as i am lets say pantera i just got other fav. bands

when i first started listening to slayer, i thought he was just like corroded said. A great riffer but sucked at soloing, and that he would just into it with nothing in mind, just fucking around. But as slayer grew to be one of my favorite bands, i tended to love that, it gives him originality to have the balls to do it.

even i love the solos...i mean kerry's solos are best suited for the type of music slayer play...you cant have harmonies & arpeggios & stuff on slayers music can you? but still...wot i wrote abt kerry was about him as a guitarist...not a musician...

what i meant by hating kerry, was when ever their is a best guitarist subject, if some one says, Kerry king, then a bunch of people seem to gang up and say "kerry is a sloppy guitarist, hes all out of key, his new stuff sucks, when slayer writes their next cd, they should tape kerrys mouth shut. " I read it all the time at the cannibal corpse bb, but now thats closed, and i read one here, so thats what inspired this topic. I agree that Kerry just does his own thing. he said himself he just goes with what feels natural. If u read guitarworld, hes got his article in their (with ZAKK WYLDE  ) and, he said he doesnt know that many scales, and hes often had people come up to him and say "kerry, id a never thought of using that scale here" and he will say "what scale". He may not be the best technically, but with out him, their wouldn't be half the bands i listen to.

People probobly don't like him as a "Favorite Guitarist" because of his overused whammy solo's. Don't get me wrong, Slayer is a GREAT band but King is a bit overrated (all in my opinion of course).

omfg man, calm down...I think you just shit a circle around yourself. Kerry King is a good guitarist and fronts his band well, he is the Slayer sound. But come on, there is a reason he never wins any Guitar polls...its not because people hate him its because he is not as proficient as say Zakk or Dime...you can listen to the music and hear it. He is still great, but when your competition is so tough its kind of hard to sweep polls like that. Kerry is what Kerry is..nothing more. Lets all take a moment to kick the shit out of Cradle of Filth shall we....

Here are some reasons to hate Kerry King:
-Kerry King has dumbass solos....
-Said that Megadeth's "Rust IN Peace" sucked
-Kerry King is a hypocrit because he said that Mustaine
sucks for technicallity, but jee, seems to me Mustaine
has better solos than Kerry King....
-I asked him if I can have his guitar and he said "NO!"
-He talks shit about Mustaine, yet Dave says nothing bad
about Kerry King.
