I had a look in Lords of chaos, and Dead was actualy wery happy with killing himself.
He thought life on earth was just a stage before somthing greater.
Dead was very happy, and the others did not understand why... All the guys but Dead whent to the shop to get some food.
They heard a shoot, and Dead was dead... Euronymous took a part of Dead's skull and hung it around his own neck as an amulet. Necrobutsher wanted to cut his arm of to hang it on the wall, but that prodjeck was never finished.
