Yeah, the guitar player's amp was a little piece of shit and was no match for my ampeg..so I had to turn down a lot. It was all made up from scratch.

Classic one, that. Mixing is a bitch even in a damn studio.
Cool, you had some pretty nice flow going.

I ripped & uploaded the new Devourment album for anybody who hasn't heard it yet. 320 kbps mp3. The opening track is so heavy it gave me a fucking hernia

By the way BB, those jams are awesome. That SVT sounds so delicious

Hey all,
doing my random hop in. Am seeing my neuro on 28th March, I can't wait, getting botox to help with my chronic migraines
Have also started writing a novel which is fun, am really enjoying it Have got some snippets of it and updates on a blog, if anyone is interested?
I have also got my next 4 tattoos planned for after my botox I can't wait! Been forever since I felt the sweetness of getting a tattoo.
Hope everyone is good,
bunny xxx

I hope that helps your migraines. They take up too much time! I think I still have your blog address so I'll give it a look.
Happy St. Pat's Day to you and everyone else here.

Man, if getting stuck that many times doesn't do something you should be able to stick the doctor. I bookmarked your blog, too.

Good man living it up here in Hawaii. Picked up surfing and its fun as hell(just bought a board today instead of renting since im sticking with it). Running around with the U.S. Army can leave you pretty tired here and there but I do enjoy it and plan on staying in. I love all the different types of Sake on the island from japan. Food is amazing all different types. Beer beer beer from every where.....
I do hate two things about this place....The traffic and the damn tourist. Place is like 30x50 miles wide(im on Ohau) and has L.A. rush hour traffic most of the business day.
What about you?

So guys, fill me up!
IN, I mean IN! What have I missed these last 3 years? Pads still around? Dylan? Gomers?
Place doesn't seem too dead to me apparently? Not a lot of tab action going on though, shame.

I sang with the little band we had at church last Sunday. That was pretty cool.
There's still a few of us floating around here, Wolfie. You've been gone that long?

It's COMPLETELY dead. I've seen this place go as long as a week without a single post. Paddy's departure was the last lung of air this forum had.

Singing at church with the band was fun. Today I did some Golden Oldies Radio shows and commercials with some friends at a local nursing home, and did a solo acapella of Benny Bell's "The Automobile Song." They loved it!

I graduated HS in 1997. 3 years after it was born. It changed many things in a short time for me. Many things. Yet other things didn't change with the development of the internet. Things you will never know about and that I know. Like girls, parties, and girl camp parties, were guarded secrets even then. Then nerds like me started to rule the worlds with our unpop metal love...
You figure the rest of it out with the interwebs

Howdy strangers!
So I left Japan, sold the GT-R and flew to Georgia to my parents house. Picked up my car and drove across the country (am in Los Angeles right now). Tomorrow I make the last leg of my journey to Monterey, CA where I'll be living for the next year and a half or so.

Hi guys! I sang with the praise band at our first summer service along the balmy shores of Lake Erie. I realized that singing when there's 20 mph gusts is hard to do! The mike noise was crazy and it's really hard to hear what everyone's doing. Great turn out as always though.

Good man I bet Japan was a blast. We have some UserPak stuff going down soon hopefully I'll catch the Australian tour. Gonna be in Hawaii for another year and a half my self. Hopefully heading to OCS at the end of this duty station.

Hi there. Nope, I have a hard enough time keeping track of my own kids and grandkids. She sounds marvelous. Congrats to you!

Mods, if it's ok with you, I would like for my name to be changed from "Dystopia" to "J(9-11)B_&420", for one week in this month of September.

Shippy, I just realized we may have seriously drove right by each other. I took my girls to Disney World. Yeah, laugh it up but Disney is indeed BROOTAL, plus I hoped to get Mrs Soulinsane and Belle... Lets just say Disney magic has a high price tag and I don't make enough building amps... yet.
I was in Ga. 30 May 2013. Cant remember correctly what part you're from, I believe near Savannah, but I burst with passive/aggressive glee to think I was close to another MT member; even though I live like 5 miles from Bia and haven't ever met her reclusive ass the last 6 years.
Edit: Jun to May correction.

I wonder if she's still got that old guitar that she showed us stashed under the bed.

Did anyone dig that latest Gorguts album or what? I think it is ridiculously good.
So uh... what are you guys actually listening to now days anyway? Musical preferences would have evolved over the ~10 years I've vaguely known some of you. TELL ME.

Pretty much the same bands as 10 years ago! A lot of the newer "deathcore"-type stuff doesn't grab me, but I've gotten into grind a lot more over the past two or three years.

The new Gorguts is indeed rad. Its different, and I rarely listen to new shit like that anymore, but its rad. I especially like the theme. What I have been listening to lately: Botanist, Loss of Self, Ulver, Obolus, Animus Mortis, Moderat, Cold Body Radiation, Blut Aus Nord, The Secret... that's all that comes to mind right now. John, I think you'd really like The Secret, its a heavier Jesus Christ Bobby/Converge sound. Solve Et Coagula is the only album I can speak of though, haven't heard the rest.
Listening to the new Carcass as I type this. Its pretty Carcassy.

Heh, a music related question, on here.
I've been watching a lot of Metalocalypse on Adultswim (free eps for everyone!) and so having Dethklok running on repeat has been pretty much a given lately. Along with Blotted Science, Steel Panther and some good old CC... fuck, I'm feeling kinda conservative right now.

Has anyone heard the most recent Nails record? Ferocious doesn't even come close.

I liked the new Gorguts a lot. I was also quite impressed with the new Immolation earlier this year, though I don't remember other people being particularly jazzed about it. I thought it was the best full length they've done since Close to a World Below.

The Secret are pretty decent. Very much like Nails, Blockheads, All Pigs Must Die, et al.

Any lyrics written down somewhere? It seems like there are some interesting thoughts expressed in the music. I'm not going to be able to understand though.
Man I gotta take a trip to the mountains and listen to some bm once I can. Probably will be too much to handle

If you want a few hours of heavy metal inspired mindless fun, have a gander at Brutal Legend. Includes Jack Black, Lemmy, Ozzy and enormous demons, so while it's extremely linear and not very deep, I had a pretty good time with it.

I've been out of commission for awhile. My mother fell and has a torn rotator cuff and has been in the hospital. She's in rehab to get her walking again. Oh my goodness. I'm so tired. Miss you all.

Well, yes, we can have a new RTT. However, you can't. I know it kinda sucks, but that's just how it goes.

I suppose we could break the 300 rule, but is anybody willing to gamble that doing so won't make the internet implode?

Thanks, BassB'. Yup, 40 pounds of dialysis fluid overload in the poor woman. On the mend though finally. Pneumonia and bronchitis from it and still more fluid to go. She's been on peritoneal dialysis and got peritonitis from contamination somehow. That's cleared up but now she has a hemo port so they could get the fluid off her. She's back on the peritoneal, but we don't know if that's going to work again. I hope so. I've had almost daily battles with staff at the home and the hospital. It's not a common thing so I probably know more about it then they do.
I hadn't even been to church in a month, but went yesterday and sang for the first time in a month. Lower register was fine, but when I went up an octave for a third song I was getting light-headed. lol I won't be doing that again for awhile. It was so nice to go back though.
And I'm mindlessly babbling on the RTT. A new RTT? We don't need no steenking new RTT yet, do we?

Speaking of not needing new RTT's, what was the actual deal with the eternal one? I never really caught if it was like honoring the fact that you'd reached a hundred of 'em, or if it was just some sort of probably highly unethical experiment.

My mom passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning. I feel like my heart's been ripped out.

Kinda makes me wish I was goth. Then I could sit here and write about stuff bleeding white, instead of sitting out in all that pesky weather around cemeteries.
