Quickly glance at the text on this sign from my local supermarket and write the first words which pop into your head:
http://i49.tinypic.com/do143r.jpg
I wanna see if I'm just going crazy or if I'm actually being subliminally coaxed into thinking about cunnilingus while I walk along the [admittedly apt] meat aisle.
P.S. That smiling guy is part of the sign, it's not a ginger midget trying to rubber neck into my photo, although that did happen as well but I managed to photoshop him out.

I read it being about meat and so my heightened moral sense did not allow me to click the link.

I'm sitting here with a bottle of whiskEy, waiting for the results of the us elections.
If Romney wins I'll drink the whole bottle and will probably die.
If Brobama wins I'll drink one glass and will get to sleep asap (it'll be around 7am here when the results are safe)
IT'S IN YOUR HANDS WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH ME!
Edit: I haven't even mentioned what brand I got with me. This is a delightful and highly enjoyable whiskEy called "Connemara" which is a peated single malt whiskEy which taste is described with "the smell of a chimney with a hint of dry leather". Fuckin' A+
Edit2: A jolly good night to all of you.

Gomers, Connemara is a type of pony. Just sayin'. The leather part is probably a bridle that fell in. Heck, it's probably run off from a celtic glue factory that's where the ashy stuff comes from.
There's a huge cloud over Colorado and Dorito stock went up 1000% overnight.

I just got my jungle carpet python to eat a rat and I'm stoked. I know this is meaningless information, but that's exactly what the RTT needs; pointless shit, and since I'm excited about it, you're ALL GOING TO FUCKING HEAR IT.
It's only notable because this particular subspecies of snake often has an annoying habit of refusing rats as a food item. This in turn means, when the snake inevitably grows to 6-7+ feet, you're feeding it 6-8 mice in a single, obscenely expensive and temporally inefficient meal instead of just one reasonably sized rat. For future Chris, this is even better news than switching to Geico.

Chris, did you hear about the woman who got into her bed in her hotel room and felt pain in her foot? She had a python attached to her heel and they had to beat it to get it off her. It sounds like a terrifying experience. How the heck did it get there?

Nah, I mean, I read weird snake stories now and again but I don't make it a habit to follow sensationalist news reports about these things.

that is true, though ^
In recent news: it is hard to make money in music. wait... recent news?? I knew I had this coming! Even when I get work... the money seems to be absent. Right after college I was actually making money writing music, but now I'm back in a slump because my partner and I got kicked off of a feature film we were scoring. Don't trust producers, people.
Now I'm back to sending out a million emails and submitting music to websites that I hope will use my shit. The good thing about being part of a company that makes trailer music is that the more music you write, the better your chances are of your music being used. I think this will become my new strategy.
First person to talk about their music career gets a big, sloppy kiss and a scat job from your truly. Except for Paddy.

I have been applying a lot to do sound design at video game companies. Nothing yet. I've pretty much forgotten about equated money with music which is nice. I'd much rather make music as an expression of whatever I have than as a job.
Please hire me.

Yea the ultimate goal is, of course, to make money doing what you love. I've been asking people about music in video games but haven't gotten anywhere. Asking composers doesn't really help, because they are not going to let you have their job. My friend emailed Garry Schyman (Bioshock series) because we did some score printing work for him not too long ago and his advice was just to keep networking... lol. Not too useful since that is why we reached out to him in the first place.
Anyway... what have you been doing to make money on the side? Is it at all sound/music related? Even trying to find a part time side job is difficult because my resume is all music!! haha. damnit. I think I'll just have to keep on pushing until something comes up... and apply EARLY for seasonal jobs. I swear I will hook you up one day, Dylan, in hopes that you or somebody else will do the same once they strike gold haha.

For over a month now I've been co-praise music leader at my church. No monetary pay, but I'm singing in front of people which is cool and scary at the same time. I've only had to do it alone once, but I survived it. Hey, I've got a forgiving boss so it's all good. I've also written and read for a couple services. Thanks for helping me with my confidence.
Happy Thanksgiving to all you turkeys. XXX

At least you made it far enough to talk to him! I've had pretty much the same experience when trying to make contacts "just make contacts" - asswipe that's what I'm doing.

Well I've had a day job for the past 4 years but the company just went under so now I'm jobless. I've been hitting up some people I've worked on music for before but nothing has come out of it yet, a lot of "I might have something for you! Lets do lunch!". To be honest I'm not trying very hard nowadays, haha.

I've never been that crazy about Thanksgiving food. My mother made a pretty good stuffing this year though with roasted pecans, bacon, and sausage.

What a cool week I had:
Thursday I saw Meshuggah and Decapitated after eating at an awesome restaurant in Hamburg
Sunday I got to see Opeth (they played an old school set, wonderful) and Anathema(never really listened to them but geez that was a cool show) FOR FREE because one of my buddys works at a local newspaper and gets free tickets for almost every show in Hamburg.
And tomorrow I'm gonna see Die Toten Hosen.
December is also full of cool concerts.

Whoa Meshuggah and Decap are still touring? I saw them like 4 months ago. Ex bought me tickets, it was a great show. I remember a few years before that I went to see them and another ex was there but she got kicked out for being too drunk or something. I don't remember. I remember going to a Pig Destroyer show with her once and she was so stupidly wasted she asked the people in front of us - a son and father (don't ask me why they were there, they obviously just ruled) - for coke. That girl was a mess. Apparently she's homeless now.
I'm glad you're having a good few months Gomli. Did you know you can suck my skinny fucking pecker? If you didn't you can anyway
Am I gay for liking Amesoerus?

You're fucking crazy, Dylsap. Stuffing and potatoes alone put about 4 pounds around my midsection. I'm not crazy about turkey, though. I already eat turkey like 3 or 4 times a week. Thanksgiving is all about linguica stuffing, mashed potatoes, whatever pasta my brother makes, and whatever pie I can get my grubby fucking hands on.

I like stuffing and potatoes! And turkey is boring, even the dark meat. If I had awesome pasta I'm sure I'd be more thrilled.

Well, we had Thanksgiving at Bob's and his fiance is a terrific cook. Along with the traditional turkey and all that, I ate pumpkin, mom's apple, and cherry pie plus banana trifle. Good stuff. I like turkey quite a bit, but she made ham, too, so I had both. Yup, I like my food.
Also, hubby asked me this morning if he gave me a piece of mail yesterday to which I replied, no. I asked who it was from. He hesitated and said it was foreign so I asked from where. He said he thought it said something about North Ireland and told me I better open it behind our barn. So if I don't show up later one you guys will know why. I know you're so hoping I have a pond behind my barn in a few. :P

It's true life would be hard to imagine without some of you... entities... out there.
Getting prepped to announce my next show. It's kind of a surreal feeling. At the same time as I'm writing a piece presenting, for example, orbital dynamics to people who've never studied physics beyond elementary school, I'm doing preliminary work for my master's thesis in the same field. This jumping between the basic concepts seen for the first time and hardcore Matlab coding is sorta dizzying.

My husband did that once in the Navy. Then he wondered why anyone would ever jump out of a perfectly good airplane and never did it again.
Stay safe! And watch your knees.

Awake for thirty hours straight, driven six hundred kilometers, attended robot seminar, finished two assignments in numerical methods, performed customer service with a malfunctioning log-in, studied for space vehicle systems exam, checked off some minor preparations for upcoming show. Slightly twitchy.

Exam next Monday. I'm heading for a master's degree in space technology, specialization in orbital and attitude mechanics. However, with the exam next Monday, oral exam in atmospheric physics this Friday and one assignment each left in attitude mechanics and numerical methods before christmas I feel more like I'm heading for absolute batshit insanity.

Bunny, I have said this before... move away from the experimental potato farm lands. Also stop eating those potatos. If you're really not careful you might start liking to drink beer sometimes. Then you will be sorry!

I will work from the assumption that I did, in fact, not help N Korea launch the most flamboyant super hero in the history of ever into space. However. If given the chance to do so I can't guarantee that I won't, and seeing how things are right now, I won't guarantee that I haven't either.
Also, I'd say N Ireland has been at that shit long enough for it to have passed the experimental stage. Whatever they're doing, it's full scale.

I live in Ohio, a hop skip and jump away. He scared my hiccups away when he told me that. Pm me where they live. That's pretty cool.
I hope everybody had a marvelous Christmas. I haven't been online in awhile.

I did my first solo at church today. Lots of good things said after. It's never too late to share your skills. Take the plunge, especially if it's something you really love to do.

Well, it was rainy, slightly foggy and the cat almost pissed on the christmas tree.
On the other hand, we've been gaining some ground in my latest project; I even got some behind-the-scene footage. It's in Swedish, but the gist of it is in what we're doing. So if you feel like it, go ahead and have a look at why bicycles are more stable when rolling along. Oh, and how we control three-axis stabilized satellites.

That was cool just to see your awesome close up. It reminded me of the gyroscope I had when I was a kid. Any part of it similar?
I had a quiet, but nice New Years. Nothing remarkable on NY Eve, but we had our pork and kraut the next day at my mom's so that was nice. No korv and kuttbullar this year, but I can make it some other time.
Right now I'm trying to alleviate pain from tendonitis in my right arm and shoulder. It SUCKS!!!!! Doggone house work gets me every time.

'Tis why we call it gyroscopic stiffness. If you set anything rotating, the angular momentum gives rise to this weird kind of force. Although it's not really that strange; face to face I usually have no problem explaining it in a couple of minutes to people who've never studied physics beyond elementary school. But it's pretty neat, and imensly useful.

Update on migraines. Saw neuro again today. Got another nerve block done today with a different drug. Also a script for a few diazepam. Will be called back in 4-5 weeks to see him again.
Hope everyone is good

I hope that helps you, bunny.
Geez, it's so dusty around here since Paddy left. Does that mean he was actually about 30 different people and now we're down to 5 real ones?

Don't say that. I'm an undergraduate physicist/engineer who've just started his specialization. Mysteries are my cocaine.

We all are.
In other news, a friend of mine started a revolt against Swedish State Television and their plans to tax computers and I-pads today.

Why are they going to do that? Do they want people to not use them?

Well, it's like this. For a long time, the State Television had a monopoly enforced by law on TV broadcasts, and it was financed directly via a licensing fee levied on anyone in possession of "equipment meant for receiving TV broadcasts". Idea being that it shouldn't be dependent on politically controlled tax funding. In practice a bunch of horse shit, but I'll admit it's a sympathetic idea. Anyhows, this gave rise to a whole gamut of stupid problems when the first privately owned channel was starting up. We seriously had members of parliament suggesting a ban on receivers for satellite TV. Now we have new devices and the internet - and the State Television has decided to expand and start broadcasting live via the internet. Thus it follows that they believe themselves entitled to a fee from anyone owning a computer - because we could possibly see their stuff. Some of us are a) godsdamn fucking enraged by this, and b) see a possibility to start a process that will destroy the whole concept of state media in Sweden once and for all.
Wow, that walled up pretty quickly.
