Hi everyone. I am trying to start a one man black metal project and I am torn between saving up for a decent electronic drum set and playing the drums live on a recording, or just going with drum software and saving time and money. There are many catches to this: first off, I don't know how to play the drums but want to learn, secondly, I don't know much theory, i've been learning by ear for most of my life.

The other thing is (imo) the complexity and price of most of the drum software out there. I kind of need something good for both metal and entry level people.
