Skip the actual hardware drum machines for metal. They're a waste of money. Check out Drumkit From Hell 2 or BFD 2 and NI Studio Drummer (never used it but it looks really awesome [more expensive, though]).. They sound way better, are way more versitile, and are way cheaper and better for what you're doing. You can find samples of the above mentioned online.

You could also easily pirate them, but, you know, that'd be stealing .

hey i was looking to buy a drum machine to record some demos and was wondering if you guys have any recomendations. i'm looking to get one that's good for heavy metal with some bad ass double bass and all the craziness that comes along with metal drums......
