You're amazing. I actually have a Godsmack tribute band! The only problem is that I live in Kuwait. Would you be willing to come to Kuwait and seriously tour with us? We're are easily the most popular local band and, without a doubt, the greatest latin-infused Godsmack tribute band in existence (maybe even better than the original band!!)!

After my Static-X tribute band Tragic-Hex folded a few months ago, I started a Mushroomhead tribute band called Mushrümhed with a couple of the guys from Tragic-Hex. Alas, we can't find a decent bassist. I know how you guys feel! Keep at it, though! The satisfaction you'll receive expressing the artistic accomplishments engineered entirely by the ingenuity and emotion of other people will make it WELL worth it in the end!
I was actually thinking of retooling the band, you know. Aim the music of Mushroomhead at a younger audience, maybe infuse it with some nursery rhymes, and change the name to Mushwümhed. I was worried, however, that by going out a limb and blending actually artistic integrity with covers of songs I didn't write that I wouldn't be able to market someone else's music in a profitable way. These decisions can be tough, bro.

You're a pair of obnoxious cunts. The guy posts a genuine, unpretentious classified ad looking for like minded people and all you can do is mock his honesty and his lack of interest in being "cool" or "respected" or "creative" or "an individual" or "artistic" or "credible" or "a musician" or "something other than a deluded karaoke machine playing the hits of cunts". FUCK the two of you.
Unfortunately I'm not in your area, hungarian789, but I wish you all the best and I hope you can ignore the haters. If they start getting to you, just think forward to your next gig, which will probably be attended by literally tens of people who really like Godsmack tribute acts. The last gig the two cunts above me played at was made up entirely of passers-by after unplugging their headphones from their amps and opening their bedroom windows.
Seriously though, nothing wrong with having some fun and fucking around with your favourite band's set list. I just don't think you'll find a whole lot of Godsmack fans on this particular forum.

I saw Godsmack years ago. I liked them. In fact, I liked their set better than Metallica's.

Me too, although it's difficult to make out exactly what's being said through her double-glazed windows. And that's not even a euphemism.
