There are a lot of Burzum songs that suck balls, but there are also about 5-8 songs that I fucking love. Filosofem is a black metal classic I'd say, but nothing before that really attracted my ear.
Some of these new songs sound pretty cool, i'll pick the album up. The vocals sound a lot better than I remember

I like Det Som Engang Var. and the keyboard stuff was cool. The vocals on the new stuff is actually tolerable. I'm pretty excited.

I've only ever heard two Burzum songs that I liked. Dunkelheit and En Ring Til Aa Herske. Everything else is shit in my opinion.

Its funny, when this thread first came up and I listened to the tracks I was like "whatever", and then I thought to myself "you know, I've never really given a Burzum album a full listen" so I downloaded Filosofem and I really love the majority of it. Like, a lot a lot. I've tried other albums but I can't get into it at all.
He's still an idiot, though.

Anyone check out the newest album Fallen, yet? It's way better than Belus IMO. Some interesting guitar harmonies going on, good vocals, and some new drumming flavor.
