Just a little piece i wrote....

The passion...
for my life is what I’m seeking
To find...
everything that means something to me
To run...
so far away to start over

I find the dreams I have are so frustrating
The drive in me is cascading
Why must I slip and fall on this ice called life
Its hard to bring my self up bruised and battered

So scared...
that I may fail at what I’m doing
To slow down...
and take a breath is what I'm needing
To fly...
above all my complications

The drive in me has lost its presence
I'm torn by all the things that are around me
Restart this thing is all I’m asking

To have hope...
to move forward is what I’m wanting

Borders on angsty, but to me it's got its head above the water at least. I think the line "Its hard to bring my self up bruised and battered" was spot on for the whole feel of the piece, but there's hope in it that even though the character feels afraid and failing presently. Sometimes life is like "Let's Make a Deal" and the wrong doors get opened before the right one finally does, but when it does it's confirmation of strengths as well as weaknesses.
