try this fingering pattern in between other stuff
---------1h3-------1h3--
--1h3--------1h3--------
just shift it over to whatever scale/note you need.

Try the little intro solo from Death's Scavenger of Human Sorrow. It's only a second or two, but it always impresses.

heres a nice little trick that will imprees people (it's just a riff directly made from the blues scale but they don't know that do they?)
e----------------------------------------------------
B-12h15----12h15p12--------------------------
G--------------------------h14p12h14-14^-12-
D----------------------------------------------------
A----------------------------------------------------
E----------------------------------------------------
e-----------------------------------------------------------
b-----------------------------------------------------------
g-14p12--------------------------------------------------
d---------h14p12-12~-14------------------------------
a------------------------------14p13p12----------------
e-------------------------------------------h15-12~--\0
practice it and once you can play it without looking, try to play it as fast as you can. maybe even try it on a higher fret.
heres another blues scale riff
e---------------------------------------------
B-----------------------------------------------
G-------5-7^7^7^7^-5-7p5------------
D-5h7----------------------------7p5~-7--
A---------------------------------------------
E---------------------------------------------
hell, you know the blues scale(i hope), fuck around with it.

angel of death intro, its not hard but fun to do, and you can change bits so it becomes a kind of remix

yeah, but we're talking about IMPRESSIVE, not fun to do
Mark King's Dune Tune (on Bass)
and eh,
for guitar, a lot of Death's riffs (pull the plug, the philosopher) and ofcourse random CoB stuff...
