but would it be worth while to get a cab with 2 15s in addition to the normal cab, to run the low end through? how much difference would this make, i'd like to try it before i run off and buy a cab but i don't have access to one

It's real thick, like playing through a PA. Dimebag uses 15's on his newer stuff.
You need some room for those, they fill up a lot space with there sound.

if you were to do this would yo uhave any way to make sure the low end is going through the 15s? if not your 12's or whatever you use are gonna get the "fart" sound if you try and utilize the 15 with more bass unless you have a bad ass cab to begin with.

Try adding some more bass to your dist. that will help with ur
big ass speakers

The only way i can see this possibly working is if you have 2 heads, an AnB switch, and an EQ. You would need to have the head powering the 15s with an eq so you can turn up the bass. Cuz if you just ad on the extra cab the bass will be distibuted evenly among the speakers. Meaning if you try to overload your speakers with bass the 12s are gonna sound shitty.
