Ibanez RG470/ Ibanez RG570
Hello all,
After seeing DK2 will not suit my playing goals, I can only choose between the RG470
or RG570 (I'm a lefty).
Again, I'm looking for the tone of Children Of boom, Symphony X, Dream Theatre, Inflames, Rhapsody.
They both have two have humbucker on bridge & neck and a single coil in the middle.
Will it work?
Thanks!

first... new axes or used?
if it's an old model, definately go for the 570. If it's new, either will be fine. On the previous model RG470s, Ibanez put an inferior bridge on them (the TRS series). However, with their 2003 line up, they have corrected that.

you and ur stupid stereotypes about iBANEZ.......
Trey Azagthoth(Morbid Angel) and Fredrik Thorendale(Meshuggah)
use Ibanez... Ibanez are okay, but remember for quality for its price;
it Jackson. I love jackson because they have high qual. materials even
for guitars that cost 230 bucks. They probably got a left handed guitar
from Jackson. If not, then do what Hendrix did.

Agreed, Ibanez does make descent guitars, not all Ibanez's are shit.
sure, most of them are, most kids buy the crappy series and really, I don't like most of the non-prestige series either but most Ibanez's have a great cost/quality ratio.
Oh, and there's way more non-nu-metal bands who use ibanez...
But ehm, I think you guys allready made that clear to daggerfall
Okay, back to topic, I'de say the 570.... but as a lefty you're fucked when it comes to guitars

I have the 470 and quality wise it's doing fine. Neck is still in mint condition as the same with knobs, bridge, and tuners. Only thing with the tuners is that now after having if for about a year the 'G' tuner came loose when I restrung the guitar. Tightened it and has ceased to happen again after 4 re-stringings.
Last note, I tune to C and get not fret buzz with decent action.

I would honestly say that if you're a lefty, learn to play guitar the righty way too. This change, of course, is easier if you've just started playing, but I would say it's worth it even if you're allready good the lefty way. Because it's a lot of trouble to find lefty guitars, and the Hendrix way doesn't work for everything (imagine playing a "hendrixed" jackson ke3 *sitting* ). I'm a righty, and I've started playing lefty as well, just for the hell of it. Sure, I still suck when I play lefthanded, but it's getting better.

no way that would work, our lefty guitarist tried it and there's no way he can ever turn right handed, same goes for me, I suck at playing lefthanded.
just because its harder to get a lefty guitar, its no reason to start playing righthanded, its just genetically not correct or something, trust me, if you're born lefty, its probably impossible to be just as good playing right handed guitars.
