Hello all,

It is time for me after 2 years of playing to replace my current guitar and get a real guitar.
I want a guitar that sounds really similar to the following bands:
Rhapsody, Children Of Bodom, Sympohny X, Inflames, Dream Theatre.

Can a single coil on the neck and middle do it when soloing(remember, I'm looking for the above bands' tone)?
I'm thinking about buying Jackson DK2 Dinky which has single coil on neck and middle and humbucker on the bridge.

I guess playing rythm can do in the bridge's humbucker pickup.

What do you say?

single coils aren't that great for metal, i say get a jackson, but one with humbuckers.

well the guitar isnt going to make u sound like those bands its how ya play it. and id go with humbuckers at the neck in stead of single.

I have a question too, sorry I put it in here, but it kind of has somethign to do with the guitar's and sound. Has anyone played a Gibson SG Voodoo, the new one? If so then are they good or sound good? Please let me know. Thanks a lot. Hail!!!

oh....and i think that Jackson Soloist 1's are better but thats just me. Dinky's are nice too. Kamelot (Thomas Youngblood) uses 'em

Yes, the Jackson Soloist 1's are better to me also, I played one the other week at guitar center because one of my friend's told me to check them out and they are pretty nice.

Buy the DXMG or DKMG or DKMGT
They are all good! But the DK models have active humbuckers

The flames do look ugly, they don't look good because they look like someone that can't draw flames put them on there, like they are too perfect, I don't know how to explain it.
