The 2 Anthrax songs I have heard (both with Bush), were average-at-best.
Weren't they at their biggest when they had Belladona? I read that when they gave him up, they also gave up their chances at having another big hit song. I dunno, I know very little about Anthrax.

I have never heard an Anthrax song with Belladona. I'm guessing that he sings in a higher pitched Halford/Dickenson voice?
Did they fire Belladona cuz he was being an ass, or did the band just decide that after many albums with him, they just wanted a change?
Oh, and one thing I wanna know, Slayme, you will probably know. Does John Bush actually participate in any songwriting, or is he just sorta like James LaBrie of Dream Theater, who just write the lyrics for 1-2 songs per album? Does Scott Ian write most of the music?
Im always interested to know which members of the band do what, and which ones just sort of follow.....

Charlie(drummer) does the majority of the songwriting, and Scott does some. Scott and John are the chief lyricists, and all of them come up with the melodies.
Joey was let go because he didn't really want to go the direction Anthrax were going.

The drummer, huh? You don't see that very often. The only other band that has the drummer as a main songwriter that I know of is Dismal Euphony. Doesn't deicide's drummer also do most of the songwriting?

Son of a red assed baboon.....
So I was supposed to audition this guy for lead guitar in my band... He lived about 35 minutes from my house. I got lost, drove around for 4 hours, going through every shithole neighborhood, then I got a speeding ticket (the cop gave me directions, but they didn't help), finally, I got back home......
All together I ended up with no guitarist, raised insurance rates, and out around $125 and 1/2 a tank of gas. I am pissed off to the maximum level of pisstivity.
It will really make work fun tommorow knowing that the money I make is all going to the ticket.
It's sorta like the time I slid on some ice while leaving work, and ran my car into a curb, costing me $100 and many hours of my labor to fix it. I would have actually SAVED money by calling off of work.
