Dream Theater Drummer explores his talent and pushes his creative limits
And forms a Beatles tribute band. Wow. Ringo eh? Now THAT's a hard act to follow. /sarcasm
For his May 17 appearance at the Modern Drummer Festival, DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy has assembled a one-off lineup of musicians to fulfill one of his dreams of playing in a BEATLES tribute band. The project will be called YELLOW MATTER CUSTARD and will feature Mike Portnoy, Matt Bissonette and Neal Morse.
Due to the popularity of the Modern Drummer Festival, the show sold out immediately. However, YELLOW MATTER CUSTARD will be playing a one-off show in New York City in order to share this lineup with the general public. YELLOW MATTER CUSTARD will perform at BB King's in New York on Sunday, May 18. Tickets go on sale March 14 at noon.
I know alot of you like Dream Theater, so I'll spare you my usual ranting on their snobbish cheese that they like to call "music". Just thought some of you would want to know this.
