1. Pickups- I'm planning on getting new humbuckers for my guitar which is the best choice: EMG,
Seymour Duncan, or DiMarzio? This guy at a music store said EMG is good for metal, Duncans are
more classic rock and that DiMarzio sucks. My cousin says DiMarzio is good for metal, Duncans are
for classic rock and EMGs are for blues not metal. But Dime uses Seymour Duncans and Scott Ian.

2. Digitech Whammy Pedal- I already own a BC rich w/ a Floyd Rose trem. system and I like the
Floyd Rose trem. system 'cause it keeps it in tune for a long time. So can anybody tell me what
has more adavantages- Floyd Rose trem. system or Digitech whammy pedal? The one thing I don't like about the Floyd Rose is it's hard to tune. I listen to a lot of In Flames and they tune to C I think
so I can't learn their songs. Also I'm planning on checking out the new Napalm Death album (I've
only heard Continuing War on Stupidity and it's cool) and I know death metal bands almost always play detuned so I cant learn any of their songs either once I own it. The only time I tune down is for dropped-D. Thanks in advance. Later!

pickups - EMGs will give you a bassier sound, more impact to the punch for metal, EMGs are good for metal, fuck your cousin. Duncans are also good for metal, but yes, better for classic rock, EMGs go good with tube amps, notice how scott ian and dimebag both play through randall's, which are solid state, so the duncans sound good, but they're running through solid state, not tube. I say get EMGs.

Digitech Whammy pedal- i have this pedal, i enjoy it a shitload, great device to make some fucked up sounds, especially cool for solos. DONT get it to make your guitar sound a different tuning then its in, its not made for that, its make for going up octaves, going down octaves, doing harmonys, etc, making your standard tuned guitar sound like its tuned in C for a whole osng isn't one of the etc's.

And dude, dont keep your guitar in one tuning like a religion, feel free to go to different tunings everynow and then, if its just temporary then don't worry about fucking wiht the bridge on the floyd rose.

1. It's a matter of opinion. Some will say Dimarzio's suck, some will say Duncans suck, some will say EMGs suck. Screw 'em all and form your own opinion. My suggestion would be to sit down and play some axes with those pickups as stock (i.e. grab a high-end Jackson with Duncans, see if you like it, grab a JS1000 or a Jem, see if you like that....)

2. whammy pedal will sound different, feel different, but has a greater range
