expand our horizons..
Everyone name up to 3 bands/artists that most of us have not likely heard or like alot, whatever. Then whoever wants to post has to check out at least a few of the suggested songs and give their opinion. After that, they can post whichever song they like for us to check out.
My suggested songs:
Darkest Hour - for the soul of the survivor - great band, some of you may be familiar with them already.
God Dethroned - into the lungs of hell - not sure how known this band is but tihs song is pretty cool.
The Crown - death is the hunter or blitzkrieg witchcraft - a relatively well known band but i enjoy them alot.

Good idea.
Caliban - The Eye Of The Storm (great metalcore/moshcore band from germany)
Extol - And I Watch (death/grindy metal)
ZAO - Killing Cupid (one of the best metalcore bands out there, great vocals too)
from your list, I've head that god dethroned song, and I'm not really into them, they're ok, but I wouldn't buy any cd's of those guys, don't like them lyrical wise either.
Darkest Hour, allround cool band, but hard to get hold of their cd's over here, good stuff, definetly worth checking out!
I don't know 'The Crown' and I couldn't find any mp3's on kazaa right now... but great list anyways!

Fantômas - "The Godfather"
The Fucking Champs - "Nebula Ball Rests in a Fantasy Claw"
Minibosses - "Castlevania 3"
Great fuckin bands. Fantômas is amazing and wierd. DAVE LOMBARDO is the drummer along with MIKE PATTON on vocals, TREVOR DUNN on bass and BUZZ OZBOURN on guitar. Craziness. That song I put is a cover of the Godfather waltz.
The Fucking Champs are awesome math/hyper metal. All their songs but a few are instrumental. Really good guitar work.
Minibosses are a lot like the Fucking Champs but they only play covers of video game themes. Really cool stuff.

They disbanded after 2 albums of pretty cool, all female vocal, goth metal
AFI
Kick ass punk. They have their first major label (Dreamworks) debut coming out soon!

Just 3...well I'm going to make all mine from the chaotic/math-hardcore genre since that's what I'm known for. So here goes
Irving Rose - they're on mp3.com, "Tooth for a Tear, Life For A Year" is my favorite song. Incredible stuff with excellent production and twists and turns that keep the music unpredictable yet very listenable.
Ion Dissonance - also can be found on mp3.com, they have somewhat of a Meshuggah type vibe to them. They're very odd timed yet still have a beat you can thrash away to.
Rye Coalition - more like kinda math-indie stuff. Entertaining and a change from the norm
I'm on a 56K so I can't exactly just go download any of those songs...but I will comment on the one's I do know to make up for it. Every band Artofnothing listed is great (the solo in Lip Gloss and Black is one of my favs of all time), Extol and Zao are both pretty rad (Def's bands), I'm currently tabbing out the 2nd track to the new The Crown CD as we speak (fuckin awesome thrash), and Darkest Hour...well I don't think I need to go into that.
Cheers,
x x

Forefather - These Lands (Sweet "medeival black metal")
Dragonforce - Fury Of The Storm (Not too into power metal, but these guys can really shred on guitar)

I call good recycle. This thread didn't get enough attention.
About a month ago, I heard a band who absolutely destroyed me - they were so good it was scary. I'll see what I can dig up.
