Six feet under are so lame.They are incomparible with the mighty Deicide.Chris Barnes should have stayed in Cannibal Corpse.I was so dissapointed when I heard the drivel that they churned out on "Haunted",and haven't even bothered listening to anything else they have done.It just sounds like Obituary with deeper vocals.Deicide will always have a place in my heart for their brutal riffs and tight drumming.They are a prime example of classic,brutal death metal.

I don't think Barnes had much of a choice to stay since he was fired. I agree the early SFU sounded like Obit but that was mainly because of Allen West who was from Obituary.

Deicide by far, SFU isn't really bad but they remind me of simple power chord heavy metal w/ death metal vocals. Fun to jam to but not my thing. If you are gonna try to stay in the death metal catergory you need more than just lyrics. Deicide easily is in the catergory, Bible Basher shows it all! Plus I get to see them on the 27th in Denver so that gives them a couple points more in the first place.

Deicide their albums Serpents of the Light and Insineratehymn are the best Legion and Torment in Hell were not that bad but defiatly not their best.

But I respect Chris Barnes...but his band needs to make
some death metal riffs, Six feet under sounds like a
Metal band with Death Metal Vox in it......

SFU does not even compare to Deicide. Just insert a "T" in the three letter acronym and we get STFU which six feet under should probably do. (stfu = shut the f*ck up for those of you who didnt know). But anyway, SFU sounds tired, uninspired to me, unlike deicide's pre insineratehymn albums which were strongly fueled by hate.
On another note, Benton hasnt completely lost it, check out the new Vital Remains album "dechristianize"

I prefer Deicide over Six Feet Under because I don't care for Chirs Barnes because he tried fucking over Cannibal Corpse. Aside from that, I didn't get in to the whole "Obituary meets Cannibal Corpse" if you will on their first record Haunted. If you remember (or not) it was initally Chris Barnes and Allen West. That was after Obituary broke up the first time (between World Demise and Back From the Dead)and Barnes was booted from Cannibal Corpse. In short, I was not really impressed with it. And at leat Deicide has remained original and kept band members consistant. Deicide's also a better band.
...Oh yeah, there's also a new Deicide album coming out...

Deicide are easily the better of the two bands, and their first four albums are essential purchases for any fan of good Death Metal. My personal favourite would be their self titled debut and the best track is the mighty "Dead By Dawn"
