i have a pretty nice guitar... but i really dont like my amp very much.. its a fender princeton 65 its distortion is kinda shitty and i recently dont have that much money to go buy some nice marshall stack (since i spent all on my guitar ) .. so i was wondering if i could change its sound with a good pedal? if i could witch do any of you think would work best ?

fender amps are only good for their nice blues clean tone, go buy a boss metalzone for 95 or so.

Yeah
Go and buy a pedal!
The distorsion on amps is not that good...no mather what amp you have.
I got some cheap litle lanley amp... the dist. is shity, just grimy unclean noise.(but it gives enough sound to blast the house, though...)
I'm gona buy one to... have a nice guitar too...A fender stratocoaster whit 4 pic-ups
I must get my ass to the music shop first...
Im gona take Ibanez or maybee boss...
Full foam is to expensive
Im goan do it today

ehhh, among the living? (are you in that band, cuz we played a gig with you!!!)
I think fender distortion is crap anyways, get a boss metalzone or another boss distortion pedal, they're pretty neat and not too expensive.
And start saving up for that stack

dude, mesa amps cost a fucking fortune.
a marshall tsl100 will do fine
and you're right, not all amps have shitty distortion, but in general, most do.

Most meaning what? If you count the million and a half crap ones that go for under $300, then yeah, but you get what you pay for. You're never gonna the sound of a Twin or a Shiva for that price.
IMO, go for something like a JMP-1, a POD, or a Sansamp pedal. I would sooner take a good amp distortion over a pedal, but those are the next best things.

lol, well look at all the amps sold, most are shit, so is their distortion!
I wouldn't get a digital distortion, they sound like shit most of the time, I'm more an analog fan myself.. however, the boss gt-6 is pretty neat.

False, my amp have some pretty good distortion , and its a FENDER btw (with a tube, of course) I preffer the distortion from my multi-fx tought (digitech RP7 valve)
I also have this shitty yamaha '89....the distortion sounds like a whore
but AmongTheLiving: go to guitar shop, and try diffenrents distortion pedals, they're not that expensive

The problem with having distortion and other effects depending on the amp is when you play live,
you use other speekers

hah, yeah but generally speaking, most distortions on amps DO sound like shit.
I'm a spoilt boy who played on tsl100's and warp 7's but hey
most kids go out and buy a 30 watt marshall, now you know what I meant about shitty distortion huh?
I like my distortion tight as hell and with heaps of low
