ok if you listen to no more tears by ozzy, there's a high pitched note after one of the main palm muted riffs. HOW THE FUCK DOES HE DO THAT!!!!!! i keep thinking it's a pinch harmonic but hard as i try i cant replicate that type of squeal. perhaps someone could help me?

I was goofing around on a Gibson Zakk Wylde signature at a guitar store one time. The strings he uses are huge - the low E is like a 62, and trust me, I suck at pinch harmonics, but they were a piece of cake on that guitar. Just a thought.......

the strings on the guitar you saw there prolly aren't the same ones he uses. Just cause they were on his signature at a store doesn't mean he uses them. He has his own signature ghs boomer strings.

Yeah, you might be right - I tried crosschecking the gauges with the ghs set, and I thought they matched up, unless my info was screwed up, which is a possibility

I can't stand les pauls. They're just crap to me. I kinda like the SGs but the bridge is way too close. Other gibsons aren't bad, but they're way to overpriced.

he's not that under-rated. Sometime i do find it kinda dumb how he solos out of key, maybe im just weird but i'd rather spend more time making sure my solo can sound as cool as it can while still being in key, zakk on the other hand just kinda wants it to sound cool and show off his speed.
