Yeah these guys do kick ass. They started when they where 16, and came out with winds of creation which was a decent album, but nothing super. But then Nihility came out, which is phenominal guitar work. They are really technical. I suggest buying nilhilty if you dont have it sevenstring. Also check out the yattering, good technical death. Hate Eternal also.

i prefer Winds of Creation over Nihility. It sounds better, more aggressive... but both are amazingely technical. By the way, do any of you know where to find Spawn of Possession albums ?

The drummer was 12 when they started. I personally like em a lot. Probobly one of my top 10 favorite metal bands and right up there with Immolation and Morbid Angel for favorite death metal band. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they think they're cool because they're so young and can play good. Damn spoiled polish kids.

Probably you haven't d/led songs from Nihility.
IMO I despise the album for th weak guitar tone and the high
amount of reverb put on the snare. And most of it is pretty slow.
But its a good album, to the opinions of other people.

I have both Winds of Creation and Nihility, I prefer Winds of Creation but the vox on Nihility were less muffled, which is a plus. That Mandatory Suicide cover made me cream, heheh

I liked the guitar tone on Nihility. It's very distorted but clear at the same time so you can hear everything that's being played. On Winds of Creation, some riffs are hard to figure out because they're so distorted and fast linke on "Blessed"

Yes he does. Its inmistakable, no kick drum can sound like that with out an added effect. And to clarify what a trigger is, it does not make you play faster but adds a better sound.

it thought the trigger was used to get the drums tight when recorded (like to adjust the sounds so they follow perfectly the tempo)

yeah i heard that they make the drums sound more "even", at the same volume and pitch

speaking of drum sound, one thing that bothers me is that the kick drums are too loud in the mix.....(this is based off songs i've heard off Nihility)

Basically fake drum sound, (or at least this is my understanding, this is what I was told when we did our demo) Play through the song blah, blah. When in the process of mastering we had like 20 different sounds to choose from, we chose one and the program he had, put that specific sound over every kick drum hit. I think the program just runs a search over the recorded kick drum sound file and whenever it detects a spike in volume, it puts the sound down. For live shows, it's just a little thing that hooks on the rim of the drum head. The trigger is hooked up to the mic on the kick drum and it alters the sound of the kick drum when it goes through the PA. IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU GO ANY FASTER. Hope that helps.
