Need help with a Amp

hey guys

i was just wondering what kind of amps are good, Im in a band currently that me and my friends started a little while ago, but ive noticed a real amp problem. at home ive been using a dean markley...i think its only 20 watts, and in my friend's garage were using a PA system that my bass, a guitar, and 2 mics are going through, so i thought that i should probably get a amp for just my bass but i dont really know anything about amps.

so if you guys could send me some replys with what companies are good and what kinda prices im looking at i'd really appreciate it

thanks

ha, i doubt this kid can afford a h&k bassbase.... maybe a used peavey 4x10 for like $250 and then a cheap yet decent head.

GK definately. They are my favorite bass amp. Them and old Fenders that distorted a bit a high volumes (i.e. Bassman 60). Unless you are playing for people, micing into the PA, which I don't think you are doing, sounds like your just going directly into it, I'd suggest practicing with just amp power.
