Down sucks, and i pretty much hate anything that has to do with their singer......can't remember his name, not that it really matters though.

Because he is too self-centered? I see. That makes total sense. I mean, if you had used a musical argument to explain why you didnt like his bands, that would have just been stupid. But to dislike his bands because of his personality, that's a well thought out argument. Sure, there are stupid, superfluous arguments, such as "I think his voice is shit" or "I dont like his songwriting," but "I dont like him as a person" is so much more convincing.
Also, isnt Jon Schaffer a tad bit self centered? Yet, you like Iced Earth? Hmm...

I find their style to be refreshing, because of the whole bluesiness thing they have going on. Ansemo's vocal style is always bluesy, like a black singer really and they have the fattest fucking bass sound I have ever heard.

I know not every damn song is about it, but probally in the 40 - 70% of them are. And just becasue he has a good voice or whatever isnt an excuse to be a cocky fuck. Yngiew is the same way and i have the same problem with him. But Stevie Vai, Ray, Becker arn'y like that at all. He obviously has a reason that is unknown. And if you had talent, and became an egotistical arrogant prick which usually leads to bieng mean to fans, then fuck you. I never said he was a dick to his fans, i said when you become cocky it usually leads to bieng a dick to your fans, make sure you know what your talking about before you type it. And it is true that is happens, look at Yngiew and Axel Rose, both arogant guys that are complete dicks. I think that Phil leaving isn't a problem, he simply dosen't want to do it anymore, and if he did there woudent be any soul put into it. But my predection is that people are going to start hating him and hes going to get pist at them, then in his other 9000 projects hes going to be the same way to his fans just because he got use to pushing them around. I really don't get why you seem so proud to be cocky. There is a huge diffrence between confidence and arogancy.

well whats arrogant to some is pride to me. i take pride in what i do there for i have an extreme ammount of self confidence, which to some is proceved as being cocky or arrogant. but however its takeni dont care. second of all your taking this a little too personally seeing as how the only thing i directed towards you was me AGREEING with you about maynard having the best voice in music. yes some musicains take it to an extreme but phil doesnt fall into that caatoe2gy. damn its hard to type when they keys are jumoing all around.

The acoustic version of Stone the Crow is floating around on Kazaa. I downloaded it, its a cool version with a few changes to keep it fresh, only problem is, the monkey who recorded it had it turned up way too loud, as a result it sounds like its been put through a distortion pedal. |
