i was checking out a few songs by hypocrisy, i like their sound but the only problem is the songs are too much power chord oriented and not challenging. I also found that i have this problem with obituary , can you guys recommend some music that is somewhat challenging, not straight power chords or straight trem picking, i like to play old slayer, old metallica, and also death, can you siggest anything/???

i say try some Pantera and definitely try some fucking Megadeth.

If you want some different chords to work with, try playing some Opeth. They're not super fast, but some of their stuff is kinda tough to play because of the fact that they use these wierd chords. Theyre a great band with a great sound, give them a listen, and try them out.

dont try pantera or megadeth for chords, its all power chords. Unless its some acoustic song or something.
