Could you guys help?
I don´t own my own bass yet but I´m thinking of buying one. Could you recommend some good ones?
The other thing. I saw one dude playing two-string bass. What do you think about that. I actually would like one like it but do you get one unles making a custom order?

haha why would you get a 2 string? that just sucks man, you'll have less tonal range and you bassing would sound really dull.
good basses are Ibanez, ESP, Musicman, Warwick, Dean, etc....
for metal Ibanez and ESP are pretty neat, but the better models can get quite expensive.

Try at first the cheap models of ibanez and yamaha.
They're quite good for the beginning. Ic can't imagine you'd like to start with an high-end-bass.
I heard "Dean" makes good basses, too.

if you want a bass with 2 strings, remove the 2 highs (D & G)

Yeah, I've seen some guys who just use three-strings, I think it's pretty neat. I think you would need to custom order a 2-stringed (or buy one second hand) because I haven;t seen one yet. But I would recommend that you start off with a 4 stringed bass then go to a 2-stringed one, so that way you won't be a stupid, uneducated loser who plays a two stringed bass.
Anyways, need a cheap guitar? This calls for... WAL-MART!!!
They have cheap guitars and basses, that come with their own amp and accessories.
It's call like "first class" or "class act". I forget.
Ibanez has some cheap basses. They're like the GSR 200 and 100. Or you could buy a beginners pack from them (and they still use one of the cheap ones.) In the United States, the GSR's are pretty cheap, like 204$, but in most of the local shops they always seem to be on discount for around 189$ and below. They use agathis wood instead of basswood. (which I think is a plus)

haha, yeah, I think I've seen that one!
I think a bass with less than 4 strings is gay, I use all the strings I've got on my bass, lol, even on ,my 5 string. so....
max cavalera uses 4 strings, he doesn't use the highest 2 strings for his trashing.

MetalPoldi, I'm not sure if that last post of yours was offensive, frankly because I didn't understand what you said, but I'm gonna be getting rid of it and a few others that were here.
I'm gonna start killin threads if you guys don't stay on topic.

Good Basses
I've got a Fernandez Burny, and although it's no Rickenbacker it's got really fuckin good sustain. And in response to prior posts, Ibanez and Fender basses are nothing but shitty cardboard cutouts of a single model. They're cheap for a reason.
