What is Drive?

and

What is Gain?

i've search the web, but sites only mention drive or gain settings, and not what it actually is.

are they the same or different?

someone explain please.

the name depend of the amp_i think

so drive/gain is the level of distortion?

Yes it varies on wich amp you´ve got
