Dude if you read the instruction book, it says MAX BATTERy LIFE = 12 hours playing also depending what type of battery for instance carbon ones lasts for 12 hours, so
there is no problem with ur pedal, or just get an adapter............
I got one and now I do't have to worry about unplugging all the time!!!!
When you need help, just referr urself to the instruction book

For my metal zone i bought a NiMH rechargeable battery, which was $12 at radioshack. Chargers aren't too expensive, i dont think (my brother already had one). Anyway, it lasts longer than normal batteries and it saves you alot of money in the end. Plus you dont have an extra cord from the adapter to get tangled in your instrument cables lol.

guitars already have too many chords: amp electricity chord, headphone chord, pedal chord, guitar chord, and an adapter chord if you have 1. i think that charger idea sounds good lol.

My Energizer batteries last 20+ hours in my metalzone unless I forget to
unplug the cord, which happens way too often. In the instruction manual it says to only use a Boss 9V adapter with the pedal or it may cause problems. Is this a bunch of BS or are they serious?

Same thing with me, as for metal=life, go for the adapter. Although batteries can help when you need the metalzone in a certain place that the adaptor won't reach

Ok soooooooo.
I might be dumb. but someone should help me
Ok so I got a metal zone and compresser from my friend with no instruction booklet.
And I cant exactly even get them to turn on.
Ive tried 9 volts that are fully charged.....
Plugged in my cord stepped on it. and nothing.
Ive tried an adaptor that I used with my digitech rp50
And.....nothing.
Now the adaptor I found out is actually AC.
But it works fine with my digitech that says it needs DC also.....
I dont know if just simply plugging it into my pedals would have messed them up. But I dont supppose so.
Ok well. any suggestions would be appreciated.
I will go try to pic up and actual boss adaptor
and/or talk to my friend.

What company makes that adapter?
Will it power any pedal regardless of what company made it? Im pretty sure this should be a yes if they are all 9 volts, but i just want to be sure. Thanks

Well, I'm not sure if you know this and I'm not trying to insult your intelligence but both pedals should have a fully charged battery in them or be plugged in with an adaptor. Then you should plug the cable from your guitar to the input of the first pedal, using another cable connect the 2 pedals from the output of the first pedal to the input of the second pedal. And then using another cable plug it into the output of the second pedal to the input of your amp.

Some pedals won't turn on if you don't have the inputs and outputs plugged

Yea, you shouldnt just randomly plug in adapters. They have to be the proper ac/dc, mA, polarity (+/-), and voltage rating. Either the unit will not turn on, or else you will fry the circuit board or a chip with the wrong one. Its pretty much like running your 12 Volt car stereo with your 120 volt house electrical. ZZZZZAP
Good Luck

I have heard of dudes buying pedals on Ebay that wouldn't turn on. So they opened the back and there was nothing inside the pedal but 2 jacks wired together, a pot with a knob on it, a glued in LED, and 2 wires tied together from the 9V connector.
